Source tiers

Every preset or suggested value gets tagged as one of:

• Public source — a cited book, manufacturer, or published reference, with scope noted.
• OneCup test — measured on my own equipment and beans, with the setup recorded.
• Editorial starting point — a reasonable default I recommend, not a certified standard.

Testing

Where I claim a test, I keep the bean, grinder, grind setting, temperature, time, and measured weights. If I haven't tested something, I label it as a reference or calculation example.
