Matching Grind Size to Brew Method

Think of grind as the speed dial for extraction. Too fine and your brewer drags its feet (bitter); too coarse and it rushes (sour). Each method wants a different setting.

My quick map

French press and cold brew like it coarse — they bathe slow. Drip and pour over want medium. AeroPress is medium-fine, and espresso demands fine. Your grinder is the loudest opinion in the room; listen to it.

A note on sources

This grind-to-method map is the common reference; treat it as a starting dial, not gospel.
