Coffee Dosage Basics: Grams, Not Scoops
Here's a pet peeve: the scoop. It lies. The same scoop holds a different weight depending on how fine your grind is and how dark your roast. I gave up scoops the day two "identical" scoops weighed 2 grams apart. Grams are the language ratios actually speak.
What I use
15–20 g for a single cup, then let the ratio do the math. Our calculator will do it for you — punch in a ratio and it spits out the rest.
A note on sources
This is just a starting point I've found works at home; your taste may want more or less, and that's fine.
